Basically, if you are looking for ideas to work from home, the internet offers the most potential for anyone contemplating work from home ideas. However, in my recent experience, even though the online world keeps expanding at an exponential rate, many individuals don’t even consider it. Due, no doubt, that all the greatest ideas for a home business only exist in the real world? l doubt that somehow, and in fact believe that the best ideas and certainly the most creative one’s, appear regularly on the internet.

Anyone looking for good ideas for a start up business should certainly seriously consider the internet, irrespective of your online experience. l was once in this position, and then l took the bull by the horns and make the decision to become knowledgeable in using the internet to earn a living. And guess what? It’s certainly much easier than l first imagined. One you understand the basics, things get a lot easier as time passes. This is because once you have one site making you a few dollars a day, it’s just a matter of repeating the process in as many niches as you want.

(1) Making money with Adsense is a great and very simple method that the Big Google utilises with advertising. Adsense advertising are the small text adverts you see contextually displayed on many websites. These ads directly correlate to the content on the page, and the whole purpose of the exercise, as far as the site owner is concerned, is for as many people to click these ads as possible. This is because you, as the site owner, get paid a certain amount from Big G (Google!) for every time somebody clicks on one of the text ads. How much each click is worth to you is dependent on any particular adsense ad, and how much advertisers wish to pay for clicks to get people to visit their website. It can vary, but Google will pay anything from 5 cents a click up to over $80 a click, for relatively expensive things such as auto insurance and similar sectors.

Quite a few people have content sites online, whose only purpose is to make money with adsense, and it’s not that hard to do. Just to give you some ideas, matters to do with health, Hypnosis, remedies, keep fit, cellphone ringtones and all sorts of popular gadgets are just some popular niches, where all you have to do is just add more and more content with embedded adsense ads on the page. Once you build up the visitor count to your niche site, it’s a numbers game. Don’t expect everyone to click on an adsense ad, but a certain percentage will, so as time goes on and your adsense site matures, you will begin to move up the search rankings in Google. Meaning more and more potential visitors and more adsense clicks. This is perhaps an oversimplification of how the process can make you money, but nevertheless, its more or less what it is, as adsense is a very simple concept.

How much you can make with this depends on many factors, but some guru’s claim to be earning thousands from their adsense empires. Without sounding like a cliche, the possibilities are literally endless.

(2) Affiliate Marketing, is similar to adsense in some ways, as all you are doing is putting yourself between the seller and buyer, and getting a commission for your trouble. With adsense you get paid for clicks, whereas with affiliate marketing, you earn a commission for any sales made after a visitor clicks on a link or banner on your site. Both of them have advantageous qualities. The main necessity with adsense is that the page content and adsense ads are related contextually. Affiliate marketing requires a certain amount of preselling on your site to entice a person to click on a banner or link…and then follow through by ordering a product, so that you can earn a commission.

Last year over $40 Billion were exchanged between buyers and sellers in affiliate marketing on the internet. And despite recent economic turbulence, it’s predicted to grow substantially in the years ahead. Imagine getting just a tiny piece of that pie!

Although the explanations give you just the basics of how adsense and affiliate marketing work, they are very simple processes to implement, requiring just rudimentary knowledge. Sometimes, you don’t even need to have an online presence to promote affiliate products.
