Since the World Economy tanked in the last 12 months or so, l can only assume there has been an equally upward swing in the number of folks looking for self employed jobs. Or at least, here in the States, as it’s essentially one of the few options for a lot of folk now, as it will be some time before matters improve

This is the first time in my memory that there is such a surplus of skilful people seeking employment. Folks who used to work in managerial positions and similar levels of command. Plus many more professionals who, because of circumstances outside of their control, find that they are now in the unique position of having to seek employment.

However, although times are hard today , you should also remember that we are also very fortunate to live in  the age of the online world. If this incredible discovery had been in existence in past recessions, and other times when the economy was going through bad periods, l believe that the effects of these recessions would be lessoned, due to the creation of more self employed jobs. However, that’s neither here nor there…

l don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that the internet today offers anyone, irrespective of age, sex, race, qualifications, experience, the most chances to make money in self employed jobs. In all the history of human existence.

With the assumed ability to be able to read and write, and if you, with average intelligence, and have a PC and internet connection, you are half way there already. The other half requires you to find an online business model that works for thousands, if not millions, of other people, and just duplicate what works for them.

The implications of that statement make it sound simple. And it is very simple, l can guarantee you, but remember also, that everything is new for the first time, so, you have to first learn before you can understand.And yes, you will have to learn some stuff, but contrary to public perception, it is not too difficult to grasp. Not if you are sufficiently determined enough and want to exploit a few of the numerous chances to earn money that the online world offers to all.

Here are two self employed jobs that you can make a lot of money from. Both are different, but have similarities, and are very easy to implement.

1. Earn cash from Google Adsense advertising. l am sure you know these small, and sometimes big, textual adverts that are everywhere online. Well these are earning Google billions of bucks in annual profits. This is because advertisers are willing to pay google anytime somebody clicks on an advert. And also because the advertising is contextual. By that l mean the subject of the article relates in some way with the contextual adverts.

Start by building a basic content site (or sites) with just an index of articles. These can be on any subject under the sun, as long as it’s a niche that has sufficient popularity and relevant searches. Each page you add to your site contains a unique article based on a particular search term relevant to the subject. As you add more and more pages, each one with a unique article, it will eventually add up to a mega content site. And with adsense ads contextually displayed on each page, the cumulative effect will be quite big. Anytime a visitor to your page clicks on one of those text ads, you get paid.

Then, it’s just a matter of increasing the amount of site visitors. By implementing the correct strategies, your little empire will grow over time and end up a huge collection of information on any particular subject.

As you know and understand the basics of how this works, it’s just a matter of repeating the process on another niche. And this time your progress will be quicker as you are more experienced.

(2) Affiliate Marketing. A vast amount of transactions that take place daily are via the mechanisms of affiliate marketing. With adsense advertising, you are just putting yourself in the path between the buyer and seller and making a commission when somebody clicks on an advert, and it doesn’t matter to you if a sale is made or not.

When dealing with affiliate products, what you are doing is promoting other peoples products or services. This can be just via simple text or display ads on your site, right upto using any number of elaborate marketing methods. Remember though, that, with affiliate marketing, a certain amount of preselling is often required, as to make money, it’s necessary that sales are ultimately made so you to earn a commission.

These two internet ideas are now well established and making millions for a lot of people. They are not difficult to implement, requiring just some rudimentary knowledge of internet marketing techniques and the basics of how to put together a website. Stuff thats quite basic really.

Then, by putting aside a few hours a day you can begin to build your online empire, which if you do things right, is what it will eventually become.

Self employed jobs of this genre provide you with a feeling of great achievement, but also financial security for your old age.
